Astra Noctis is a Metroidvania more focused on combat than exploration. It contains some RPG touches, such as the inventory and equipment system. These systems encourage experimentation and the creation of different builds and playstyles.
You will control the “Exiled One,” one of the 12 beings created by the Lord of Time, KAI. Your creator commanded you to protect the Goddess QUOD, The Absolute, the Goddess of Existence, and the most important of all known gods. However, over time, your father’s commands turned into orders to imprison QUOD and deprive her of her freedom. Due to your refusal to carry out those orders, you were executed for high treason. Your body was embalmed and cast out of the Astral Plane where the Gods dwell. Until eons later, your vow to protect The Absolute brought you back.
