Cursed the womb that bears emptiness beneath its heart. For the child enters the world with the veil upon its face, yet its soul wanders lone in the heavens where God is not. Why then does she not hasten to the place that was prepared for her? Seek the truth in our visual novel.
In this world, forsaken by God, every newborn child is swathed in darkness, a veil drawn across its face, stripped of that which cannot be seen - the lack of which has rendered it “Empty”: the soul.
Though the souls of men have become a resource beyond replenishment, yet have men learned to forge them in the crucible of the laboratory. But the price of this discovery - none are eager to name it. Nor do they fathom what calamities such a breach must surely summon.
